Salinas - November 21, 2010: Winter Wonderland’s “Asian Flair” White Party is the best way to describe this years holiday fundraising celebration benefiting the Salinas Jaycee’s Children’s Shopping Tour being held at the National Steinbeck Center on December 11th, 2010, beginning at 8:00pm.
This years event is being kicked off with some very special performances. Not only is Clint and Dina Eastwood’s award winning South African band Overtone headlining this magical evening, but the eccentric Chinese White Dragons and Monterey Bay Lion Dance Team will be adding a bit of Asian pizazz for this years extravaganza. The Monterey Bay Hogs motorcycle group, will be presenting their generous annual donation, with all proceeds going to clothe underprivileged children in the community.
Sara Nicole of KYMB and Coastal TV Network will be emceeing for the evening, while DJ Bubba G-Scotch will be adding to the festivities of this holiday celebration. In addition, there will be wonderful guest giveaways and a special crowning for this years best dressed Snow King and Queen. Ice-princesses on display, as well as "The Hat" raffles and giveaway’s are only some of the evening highlights for this Winter Wonderland extravaganza.
Vincent Valet, Hobnob Monterey and Jason “The Hat” are orchestrating this years Winter Wonderland White Party for the Salinas Jaycees Children‘s Shopping Tour. They’ve decided to kick it up a notch by adding more entertainment this year. “Providing help to children in need is on the top of the priority list. Having held a detrimental charity event last April, at the Del Monte Beach House for Chelsie Hill (a young paralysis victim) was a fulfilling experience. With the help of the community and all involved, the event raised enough money to allow Chelsie the means to convert a car to be handicap accessible, as well as to be able to attend Project Walk (a program that helps improve lives of those who are paralyzed) for some time, which was incredible to be a part of. This event will be a great time, without a doubt. We’re hoping for the same kind of community support for this event.. It’s all about the kids,” said Tanya Moore, Creative Director of Moore Media PR. Moore added, “We will also have the big camera’s out, streaming the highlights of the event LIVE on www.HobNobMonterey.com for those who are not able to attend. We are really excited about adding this element to the evening. It will be a great celebration, for a great cause and we wanted to share that with the people at home as well.”
To further set the holiday ambiance, there will be an incredible ten seat horse-drawn carriage available for rides throughout the festive lit streets of Old-town Salinas at only ten dollars per person. White Party tickets are available for purchase for twenty dollars, with table reservations (seats eight) going for one hundred seventy five dollars and includes a bottle of wine. There will be incredible raffles and tasty hors d’oeuvres for the critical pallet. Family and friends are all welcome to join in the festivities. The Salinas Jaycees are encouraging everyone to come out and have a great time while supporting underprivileged children in the community which with pre-ticket sales going towards this years tour and door purchases going towards next years fund. Pre-ticket sales are encouraged. Tickets prices include entry, Overtone concert and all other entertainment.
This is a true Winter Wonderland White Party, so let it snow, let it snow, let it snow and walk through this amazing Winter Wonderland on December 11th, 2010, beginning at 8:00pm at the National Steinbeck Center. Please look for the "spotlights" in the nights sky to locate this magical event! The event is open to the public for ages eighteen and over, with a no host bar available for twenty-one and over.
