Friday, August 6th
The Fiesta weekend begins at the CV Trail & Saddle Club with theHOOPLA.This annual family event includes a huge BBQ feast of Tri-Tip, Chicken, Corn, Salad, French Bread, Beans and Desserts. Beverages are available at the Kiwanis Bar. Many silent auction items with great values donated from the community are available. ALL proceeds from this event go back to the community.
Saturday, August 7th
The Fiesta Mountain Trail Run, a beautiful, scenic 7.7-mile race held on Garland Park‘s wider trails.The Fire Volunteers put on their annualPancakeBreakfastfundraiser in the early morning at the Community Center off of Ford Road. TheParadestarts in front of the Running Iron Restaurant and runs to Del Fino Place, great fun for kids off all ages. Then theClassic Car Showwas just added four years ago and is quickly becoming a favorite place to shine and show for classic car owners. A chance at joining the morning parade, then parking on the grass in the Carmel Valley sun is a real treat. Many sponsored awards are given out to a wide variety of catagories. Concertsplay both days at the gazebo area in the park. Saturday features
(Martin Shears, the Money Band Duo and Mike Beck and the Bohemian
Saints).
Park Activitiesinclude Train Rides, Raffle Prizes, Games, Art, Craft & Food Vendors.
Sunday August 8th
Featuring theDog Showat 11 AM, More concerts performed (Pat Ireland, Undecided and the Cachagua Playboys), also twoWild Animal Showsat 1:00 and 3:00 pm,ParkActivities: Train Rides, Raffle Prizes, Art, Craft & Food Vendors, and ends with theRaffle GrandPrizeDrawing at 5 pm - winner receives a one week trip to Hawaii airfare and condo.
All proceeds are returned to the community in support of youth activities, senior organizations and High School scholarships. We sincerely appreciate the support from our community. More information on the Fiesta events can be found on the new CV Kiwanis website:
