Join together for a good cause at the AIDS/LifeCycle Benefit Concert

AIDS/LifeCycle is co-produced by the L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center and the San Francisco AIDS Foundation and is designed to advance their shared interest to end the pandemic and human suffering caused by AIDS. This is their 10th year doing this ride and 3,000 people have signed up, and registration is full. Alysia Murdock, a CSUMB student has organized this event with The Alternative Cafe to shine light on a progressive and beneficial foundation. Murdock is joining the ride to challenge herself and to be a part of something that will change the lives of many people. The ride is a 545-mile bike ride that last 7 days and goes from San Francisco to L.A. By participating in this ride, she hope to raise $3,000, which is why she had the idea of doing this concert.

This event will hold two performances. Before each performer Alysia Murdock is going to talk about the event and explain more what it is about, thank people for coming, and encouraging the spread of awareness.

PERFORMERS:
1. Juan L. Sánchez: Spanish-born Juan L. Sánchez is a passionate and fun-loving singer-songwriter, storyteller and educator. His music is rooted in the Spanish new folk movement (Nueva Canción) and features socially-conscious lyrics as well as eclectic world beat arrangements
2. Coward at Sea, they are an Indie/rock/ folk band that met at CSUMB. They are all for supporting this positive cause, and are a group of talented and devoted musicians.

COST: Tickets are $10 at the door. Additional donations are welcomed.
