Updated 2012 Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca Schedule

MONTEREY, Calif., November 9, 2011 – The schedule for the 55th consecutive year of racing at world renowned Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca has been modified, moving the Continental Sports Car Festival, powered by Mazda from a previously announced July date to its new date of September 7-9, 2012.

Revised 2012 Race Season for Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca“Historically the GRAND-AM Rolex Sports Car Series has visited our facility earlier in the season,” said Gill Campbell, Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca CEO/general manager. ”With this change to a later date, they will be vying for the championship and have more on the line as they compete at our venue. This will certainly making for more nail-biting race action for the fans.”

The 2012 season schedule is as follows:

May 11-12                   American Le Mans Monterey, presented by Patron 
May 18-20                   Ferrari Racing Days
July 27-29                   Red Bull U.S. Grand Prix featuring the MotoGP World Championship

August 17-19               Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion
September 7-9            Continental Sports Car Festival, powered by MAZDA featuring the

GRAND-AM Rolex Sports Car Series

Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca is operated by the Sports Car Racing Association of the Monterey Peninsula since its inception in 1957.
